The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is a public, urban university committed to serving the residents of Washington, D.C., through degree, certificate, and community-focused programs. UDC offers 81 undergraduate and graduate degree programs and operates its Community College division (UDC-CC), which provides open-enrollment and workforce development programming to expand access and affordability.

UDC’s Workforce Development & Lifelong Learning (WDLL) division delivers career pathway training in high-demand fields — such as Construction, IT, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Education — often at low or no cost for D.C. residents. As part of its “Pathways” model, UDC also offers free support services including career planning, job placement assistance, and coaching, guiding users from skills assessment to employment in the region’s growing sectors.
